Create and share a cover

On Today, tap “Create your cover.” Choose a photo or tap “Use sample photo,” add your words, choose a mood and style, then save. Open a cover and tap Share to save or send the finished image using the iOS share sheet.

Your collection

Covers are stored on the iPhone where you create them. They do not automatically sync between devices. Export covers you want to keep before deleting the app or changing devices. We cannot recover a deleted local collection.

Monthly Editions

Monthly Editions is available in Afterglow 1.1.0 and later. Download or update Afterglow on the App Store, then open your Collection to get started.

Open Monthly Editions from your Collection to revisit saved covers by month. Read each cover’s headline, note and chosen mood, or share a poster with up to six of that month’s latest covers. The mood summary reflects the moods you selected.

Monthly Editions are created from the covers already on your iPhone. The free app exports edition posters at 1080 × 1440 pixels; Plus exports at 2160 × 2880 pixels. An empty collection shows a sample preview; save your own first cover to start an edition you can share.

Afterglow Plus

The free app includes unlimited Editorial covers and 1080 px wide exports. Plus adds Postcard and Film styles and 2160 px wide exports. US pricing is $2.99 per month or $14.99 per year; the purchase screen shows the actual price in your region before you confirm.

Restore a membership

Sign in with the Apple Account used for your purchase. Open Get Plus in Afterglow and tap “Restore purchases.” If the plan is active but doesn’t appear, check your connection and try again. Plus can be restored on your other supported devices using the same Apple Account; your local cover collection is separate.

Cancel or change your plan

Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → Afterglow. Or open Afterglow’s active Plus screen and tap “Manage subscription.” Your plan renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

What happens when Plus ends?

Your saved covers remain in your collection. You can keep using the free Editorial style and standard-resolution exports. An active membership is needed to save new Postcard or Film covers and export at Plus resolution.
